MergePro - An Enterprise Reporting System

MergePro is a state of the art computer system designed to retrieve information from your company's databases and place it on your business forms. The only requirement is a computer running Windows 95 or higher.

No need to order your business forms from an alternate vendor anymore!!! First, design and customize your own forms with Microsoft Word - for simplicity. Second, manage your forms with MergePro Form Manager. Third, when needed, apply your business data to the forms to produce personalized, robust and manageable documents.

Assemble your business forms into packages. Multiple forms may be assembled into a Master-document (package) depending on their purpose (i.e. insurance policy package). Using MergePro you can define the rules according to which forms will be included into or excluded from the package (i.e. some forms should only be printed for the state of Texas and some only for the state of Mississippi).

Distribute your form packages across the Internet!!! Now MergePro uses our newest technology - "Generic Device Printing". It allows MergePro to convert your Microsoft Word forms into almost any electronic document format including Internet distributable Portable Document Format (PDF) for Adobe Acrobat Reader. With this format your documents can be protected from being edited by unauthorized users and printed on virtually any printer in the same manner with the same layout anywhere in the world.

Apply your custom designed business rules to the MergePro forms. Simple rules may be defined through the query options (i.e. if query result is empty do not print the form or print an alternative form). For complicated rules involving multiple-step checking it is recommended to use Scripting or custom written COM object - rule provider.

Easy to use query interface is available with our PowerSelect (PowerQuery) add-on. To use this capability your IT department employees must enter self-explanatory names for every field in your databases using PowerSelect. Once entered other employees will be able to query your databases without needing to know the underlying database structures or programming languages. PowerSelect allows testing of a query immediately after it is specified. PowerSelect is not a requirement. If you are an advanced user skilled in SQL language, you can write your queries in plain text.

Test your forms as you build them. You do not have to wait for forms to be processed as a part of a package. Every form can be printed separately.

High scalability!!! MergePro is a very scalable system by design. It consists of three simultaneously running components: user request client, data retrieval/conversion server and document processing client. The last two components carry most of the processing burden and can run shared across multiple computers. Data retrieval/conversion server uses several optimization routines and load-balancing to even the load across multiple document processing clients and maximizes the use of the hardware resources. Because of this architecture just adding more computers can solve almost any load problem.
